Dear Members

We understand that it is frustrating when our fields are closed for renovations.  With 900 members at our club, it is critical that we ensure our off-season is used to fully regenerate our fields for the new season.  To assist those who wish to play we have set-up a couple of goals to the side of our field 3.  All are welcome to use this space for skill drills and fitness, but please note the area is not big enough for games.

For those seeking to play games, please travel down to the Bill Hewitt Reserve, opposite Whites Hill College and use these public fields (there are rugby posts you can use as goals or you can take your own poles/cones as markers): https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bill+Hewitt+Reserve+(including+Hannah’s+Place)/@-27.50347,153.0836624,15z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x6b915b7b265f09b7:0x25bb937bdf1064f2!8m2!3d-27.50347!4d153.0836624!16s%2Fg%2F11llg908zf?entry=ttu.  These fields are maintained by council who can be contacted on 07 3403 8888 (24/7) if there is a problem.

We would ask that you respect our neighbouring clubs and DO NOT use BMTA or Cricket Club greenspace for any football drills, skills, fitness, or games.   We wish we could offer a better off-season solution for practice and can assure you we are in constant communication with council about our greenspace restrictions on your behalf.  We also run off-season clinics (offsite) for those who might like formal off-season options, please refer to our socials for more information.

Thank you for your understanding,

Sharon Flannery, Club President on behalf of the Executive Committee
