2022 Season Update

To update you, last week Football Queensland canvassed each club for feedback as we all work together to figure out how the rest of the 2022 season will pan out. It is our hope that we see out a full season using catch-up rounds and possibly extending the season, amongst other ideas. Planning is not easy with each club having it’s own particular challenges which will determine what it can and cannot do. Football Queensland has to take all feedback into consideration before a final determination is made.

Once we have ascertained what this looks like we will let you all know, in the meantime we will continue with the planned fixtures and training and cross our fingers (and toes) that there are no more rain delays. Stay tuned to our social media and TeamApp for updates.

In summary, we plan to run all weeks and both blocks for our U4/5s, all planned training and games for our in-house U6-8 teams and all planned training and game sessions in all Football Queensland competitions U9+, as far as is possible.

We know how frustrating this has been for coaches, parents and players. We thank you all for your patience whilst we navigate this season’s challenges. You are a wonderful and supportive football community of Hawkies.
