Introduction

FQ Academy (formally SAP) is a key component of the Football Federation Australia’s National Curriculum, designed to accelerate the skill development of identified players between the critical ages of 9 to 13.

The FQ Academy Program serves to prepare players for Queensland’s elite football competition, the FQ Academy National Premier League (NPL).

Please visit the Football Federation Australia website for more information about the skill acquisition phase:

Our players are identified during the season and via assessment with external players invited in to trial for open positions.  This process takes place at the end of each season (usually around October/November).  Players train 3 nights per week and the program includes pre-season training.  The season is extended from Jan/Feb to Oct/Nov and requires a high level of commitment.

Our Metro Academy trains 2 nights per week and follows the same technical and assessment program to develop U9-U12 players for the FQ Academy and NPL leagues.  Our Metro Academy teams play in the FQ Metro league.
